Mia + Ben
A Modern and Intimate Wedding at Station House
St Petersburg, Florida
Building Mia and Ben’s Dream Wedding
wedding design starts with a cohesive color palette
How we did it:
We wanted to complement the modern and slightly masculine venue, Station House. Black and white details and warm leather tones did just that!
Accents of gold and emerald green gave this design a hint of glamor.
Hangin’ With the Posse
Creating a fun wedding prep atmosphere
How we did it:
Worked with a hair and makeup team that could provide all services for the ladies, so everyone can get ready together!
Reserved getting ready suites at 2 separate hotels (no pre-First Look peeks, here!)
Wrote the timeline to allow for plenty of time getting ready, as no one likes to be rushed.
Organized for the photographer to capture every moment!
Organized trolley transportation to get the whole gang around town for photos
Under the Stars
A Modern Night Ceremony
How we did it:
Worked with our rental company to include lights overhead and behind the ceremony for ambiance
Procured ghost chairs for the guest seating, keeping the aesthetic clean
Worked with the florist to include black details in the containers and floral arrangements
Cued the musicians and the wedding party for a seamless ceremony
Hired Wedding Dogcare Professionals for taking care of the furry Ring Bearers!
It’s All in the Details
A Cohesive and Unique Design
How we did it:
Created customized signage for all set ups for a cohesive look
Built and styled the statement seating chart to include vinyl records and the clients’ favorite song quote, along with their personal vinyl record player!
Bought and styled a vinyl record with the clients’ First Dance song as the guest book
Chose place setting pieces that mimicked the vinyl record look
Worked with the florist to create moody and eclectic centerpieces
Bought and styled the clients’ neon sign as their backdrop at the sweetheart table
Procured velvet green chairs for the Mr and Mrs as a warm pop against the wood backdrop and table
When The World Stops
Rescheduling not once, but twice for COVID
How we did it:
Reached out to all vendors right away to let them know of the postponement and pending new date(s)
Created a spreadsheet for all vendors to share their availability, as keeping the team together was very important! This allowed us to see what dates were available for everyone.
Worked with the invitation supplier to recreate the invitations with the new date(s)
Reworked the timeline to plan on the new date and the change in sunset times
Kept the couple as relaxed and excited as possible!
Love Note:
“Taylor Falcon Events was an absolute MUST for us. We were scheduled to have our wedding in April 2020 and had already had a long engagement to plan. Of course with the pandemic, we had to postpone not once, but twice and Taylor rebooked all of our vendors both times quickly and without sacrificing any of our preferred vendors. She went way beyond considering how stretched out our planning process was. Anytime we had a random question or request Taylor was available and absolutely lovely to work with! During our wedding day, we were so relaxed and didn’t lift a finger! I’m sure there were some proverbial fires to extinguish, but we had no clue because Taylor and her team handled everything. She was extremely organized which we needed and our whole wedding party was floored by her efficiency during the rehearsal. Her eye for design is unmatched and all of our guests were soooo impressed by her! You NEED to hire Taylor Falcon if you’re getting married and want to be stress free!”
